Fathers Day

Apparently there is this thing called Fathers Day. It was so cool. I woke up and got to play with all this coloured paper and envelopes (personal fave), until I put too much in my mouth and Mum confiscated it all off me - humph. Then I got to climb on Dad after those darn glasses... and conquered Dad. Anyway, BEST day. I wonder what it was for???

Holidays

A couple of weeks ago, Mum, Dad and I went on a big trip to visit Wentworth Grandma and Grandpa. Apparently I was very good in the 10 hour car trip. I don't remember much, but there was a great game I played where I would throw all my toys out of my car seat, and Mum would contort herself around from the front seat to give them back to me. What fun!!!

I had much fun with Grandma and Grandpa, and also Aunty Alison and Uncle Andrew. I also met cousin Nicholas, who slapped me on the head to say hello. All I can say is... wait until I am mobile, cousin dearest...

It was also great having Dad around all day - I could do more Dad climbing in search of those elusive glasses!!!

Floriade and Flowers...

Okay, apparently I am meant to be happy about flowers. Not sure what they are and not sure why I should be parked in front of them... (ed note - takes after her father!)

Okay, more flowers and now a hat - this had better get better...

Food?

"Well, this sitting up business is a piece of cake. I quite enjoy playing demolition with my coloured blocks, and I have a particular fascination with the tag... I'm sure there is some psychological reason for that???"

Swimming - at 5 months people!

"Okay, this seems as though it could be fun. I am floating on my mother, head well out of the water, having my photo taken. Not bad..."

"You want me to do what? I don't think so..."

"I am not a submergable, people - remember baby, not submarine!!!"

"I am not smiling at you - not happy, I tell you!" Posted by Picasa

Eleanor's foray into the world of Farex

"You can't expect me to eat that, can you?"

"Oh my god, she does!!!"

"Okay, okay, you can stop now..."

"Someone out there, save me, please... this stuff looks like curdled milk, and doesn't taste much better. Bring on some real food!" Posted by Picasa

Eleanor, Edward and the Magic Toy

Eleanor was born on 1 April, Edward was born on 3 April, and they were destined to be life long buddies. They shared the same love of food and their names both started with the letter 'E'. Already you could see it was destined to be a beautiful friendship.

One day Edward was given a Magic Toy. It was brightly coloured and had elastic which could be pulled and squeezed in all directions. He was the envy of all the babies.

One sunny day, Eleanor and Edward were enjoying a nice lie on the mat, with their mothers gazing at their respective cuteness. They then rolled onto their tummies, and Eleanor distracted Edward with an upward gaze. While Edward's back was turned, she swiped the Magic Toy. (Gasp!!)

"Ah ha," cried Eleanor. "The Magic Toy is mine!"

Edward was soon awake to the ruse, and turned to confront Eleanor.

Enter Edward's Mum, to broker a deal. "Eleanor, you have your rings. Edward has the Magic Toy". Slowly, the Magic Toy was rightfully returned to Edward.

And forlornly, Eleanor threw herself into her mat "Ah, foiled by an adult, AGAIN!!"
Eleanor and Edward parted that day, best of buddies again. The swiped Magic Toy a distant memory, thanks to the memory span of a 4 month old baby.

The End
